Hi my name is Jaymini Lakhani.

I was born in the Uk and grew up in Blantyre. After completing my Masters degree in Pharmacy from The London School of Pharmacy in 2005, I embarked on a brief career in pharmacy. However, the arrival of my two wonderful children, now 16 and 14, prompted a shift in focus.

For the past 16 years, I dedicated myself to nurturing my children, considering it a full-time career. During this time, I sought to formalize my role and deepen my understanding of child development and education. In 2018, I completed a Montessori Diploma from the North American Montessori Center, an internationally accredited institution.

This experience profoundly influenced my perspective on education. I came to value the Montessori philosophy, seeing it not just as a method of teaching, but as a way of life. It emphasizes order, independence, and a deep respect for each child’s individuality. I firmly believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn through the Montessori Method.

Opening Stepping Stones Montessori was an incredibly exciting endeavor for me. It provided a platform to apply my knowledge and experience, both in theory and through hands-on practice with my own children. Over the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of children, each with their own unique personalities and learning styles.

What I find most rewarding about my role is the ever-evolving nature of the work. Every day presents a new experience, a fresh challenge, and a chance to make a positive impact on young minds. I’m deeply passionate about teaching, and there’s nothing I’d rather do than guide children on their journey of discovery and growth.
